Parents, The first week of school was absolutely wonderful. The kids loved doing all their work. We have full files to send home and they completed their first lapbook.
We are closed Monday for Labor Day. Enjoy your long weekend. Next Week we will be working on our Apple Lapbooks.

Open House Tonight
Please bring your students for the Open House tonight. We will have new students attending school this year. This is a chance for them to meet before school starts.

The Importance of Better Beginnings
Did you know that the highest rating in the Better Beginnings program is three stars? There are only four in Fort Smith that obtained this standard.
These preschools are, First United Methodist, Hobson, West End Pre-K, and Princeton Pre-K. Two of which exceed those standards as well as contract with the Arkansas Department of Education, perform developmental assessments, Work Sampling System Developmental Guidelines, documented observations, student portfolios, offer special services through the Fort Smith Public Schools ( such as speech and occupational therapy and behavior modification). These two preschools are West End Pre-K and Princeton Pre-K.
West End Pre-K offers a Kindergarten Readiness Program, Developmental Appropriate Practices and Social/Emotional Learning. West End Pre-K follows the Fort Smith Public School calendar.

Roll Up Nap Mat
Please purchase one (roll up type) nap mat for your child. Please make sure it is labeled or monogrammed with their name. I will wash them weekly. They will be yours to take when your child enters kindergarten. This does not apply to ABC students.Thanks!
