The Importance of Better Beginnings

Did you know that the highest rating in the Better Beginnings program is three stars? There are only four in Fort Smith that obtained this standard.
These preschools are, First United Methodist, Hobson, West End Pre-K, and Princeton Pre-K. Two of which exceed those standards as well as contract with the Arkansas Department of Education, perform developmental assessments, Work Sampling System Developmental Guidelines, documented observations, student portfolios, offer special services through the Fort Smith Public Schools ( such as speech and occupational therapy and behavior modification). These two preschools are West End Pre-K and Princeton Pre-K.
West End Pre-K offers a Kindergarten Readiness Program, Developmental Appropriate Practices and Social/Emotional Learning. West End Pre-K follows the Fort Smith Public School calendar.
